Showroom Attendants- Direct service, Sorting and Organizing (4 hours, 1 or more days/month)
Do you enjoy working with others? If so, we have the perfect job for you! Activities in our showroom include working with clients, donors, and other volunteers to ensure a delightful and productive visit to our showroom. Attendants assist clients one-on-one by helping them select items for their new home. They also greet donors delivering much needed furniture and home goods. In between visitors, showroom attendants help by organizing, sorting, and packing donation requests. Attendants always work in teams of two of more. Close-toed shoes are required.
Transport Team– Pick-up and Delivery (1-4 hours, 1 or more days/month)
Do you enjoy physical exercise? Would you like to get a great workout while also helping your community? This position helps to pick-up and deliver home furnishings to families and individuals in need in Harford County. This is a physical position that requires lifting (up to 50lbs) and closed-toed shoes. Furniture donations are picked up from homes, assisted living facilities and corporate sponsors on a regular basis. We provide easy-to-use forms for accurate record-keeping of donations received.
Furniture Repair: (as needed)
Perfect for the “handyman/woman” in anyone! There are so many items that need just a little repair: a joint re-glued, a nail/screw to secure a chair leg, sanding and a touch of paint. Please help us put these items in the homes of people and in need instead of in the landfill.
Administrative: (2-4 hours, 1 or more days/month)
Do you have the desire to serve but need the flexibility of working on your own schedule? Our administrative support volunteers are able to do just that! They are essential to helping us provide quick, friendly, and accurate information to people looking for help or donating to Found in Faith Ministries. Some tasks of an administrative volunteer include receiving or returning phone call, data entry, following up with donors/clients, and sending emails. Volunteers can work independently from home or in our office. Experience in Excel is a plus but not required.
Volunteer Coordinator: (10-12 hours per month)
Found in Faith Ministries is 100% volunteer based which means volunteers truly are the backbone of our organization. The Volunteer Coordinator will have a unique opportunity to make a substantial impact in our community and the families of those we serve. This is an engaging position that offers the flexibility to work independently combined with the freedom to creatively develop systems for recruitment, training, planning, organization, and appreciation. This position would be a great internship opportunity or for someone looking to build transferable job skills.
Fundraising Committee: (2-10 or more hours per month)
Are you passionate about our mission? Can you envision our 10-year plan as if it already exists? If so, our fundraising committee is just for you! Members of this committee are zealous in their efforts to invite others to be a part of our mission. They are personable, influential, and love meaningfully connecting with others.
Advisory board: (as needed)
Found in Faith Advisors are an invaluable asset to our ministry team. We are specifically looking for those who have nonprofit leadership and/or development experience. We are also looking for a lawyer who has experience working with nonprofits.
Storytellers: (3-6 hours per month)
Do you enjoy sharing a good story? We are looking for volunteers that have a passion for writing and for serving their community. We want to match your skills with people that have been served by Found in Faith to launch a great new project called Barriers to Bridges. Grant writers: (4-8 hours per month)
Are you someone who communicates well through writing? Have you thought about combining your talent for writing with a meaningful passion to make a huge impact on your community? Grant writers are a blessing and essential to growing a new organization. You can support this mission in an exponential way by volunteering your proficient writing skills to secure essential grant funding opportunities.
Graphic Designer: (2-4 hours per month)
Help us get noticed! Graphic design is an integral part of every marketing campaign and we are on a mission to spread the word about this awesome ministry and the important work we’re doing in the community. In order to do that, we are looking for someone who has a few hours per month to dedicate to the creation of marketing materials that get people’s attention. If your passion is eye-catching design, our team is looking for you!
Social Media Manager: (4-6 hours per month)
The Social Media Manager is a great position for someone looking to gain experience in digital marketing and promotion. We are looking for a motivated individual to gather content and schedule posts on a monthly basis. There is plenty of room to learn and grow in this position.
